There are two ways for you to get involved. You can either become a YNPN-NYC member or you can volunteer to help with one of the committees.

Become a member 
Join a diverse community of young nonprofit professional by becoming a member of YNPN-NYC.  Membership is free and open to everyone.

All you need to do to become a member is subscribe to the YNPN-NYC listserv by sending a blank email to nyc-subscribe@lists.ynpn.org

Become a volunteer
YNPN-NYC is an entirely volunteer run organization and we depend on people like you to help plan, organize, and execute programs. YNPN-NYC committees are where programmatic and strategic plans come to action.  If you are interested in joining a committee or volunteering, please fill out our volunteer form.

Development Committee
The Development Committee works to secure funding to assist in YNPN-NYC’s programs and events.  If you have experience in grant writing, fund development or in developing fundraising strategies, contact us to find out how you can get involved. 

Communications & Technology Committee
The Communications & Technology Committee plans and develops solutions to assist YNPN-NYC to better collect and disseminate information.  Committee responsibilities include website design and development, database support, email list management, and working to raise YNPN-NYC’s public awareness through our email newsletter, website and other channels.  If you have ideas on how we can use technology more efficiently to collect and disseminate information, we’d love to hear from you.

External Affairs Committee
Working closely with the Development and Programs Committee, the External Affairs Committee works to build partnerships and collaborations with the larger community to support YNPN-NYC’s membership.  If you have experience building partnerships, let us know how you can help. 

Membership Committee
YNPN-NYC has been a fast growing organization and our members are the key to the success of the organization.  The Membership Committee has a particular interest in attracting a culturally diverse group of members from all over the New York City area, representing a wide variety of issues, so that we are able to speak to the needs of young nonprofit professionals throughout the community. If you have experience in membership and volunteer recruitment and retention, let us know.

Programs Committee
The Programs Committee is responsible for the monthly social and educational events for YNPN-NYC. The function of the committee is to create opportunities for nonprofit professionals to meet each other, network and share experiences.  The events can range from our monthly get-togethers to educational workshops.  If you have ideas on social or educational programs or have experience in event planning, let us know.
