ABOUT THE CLASS: PMNO shows nonprofit leaders how to use organizational performance measurement to enhance the organization’s ability to deliver on its mission. To address today’s complex challenges, the program examines a range of effective approaches to help guide organizations in any economy.


The Harvard Business School Club of New York and its Community Partners program are pleased to offer one or more scholarships this year to attend Performance Measurement for Effective Management of Nonprofit Organizations (PMNO). Scholarships will cover tuition, course materials, and on-campus accommodations.

We encourage candidates to supplement their applications with a nomination from an HBS alumnus/alumna, which can be submitted via our online nomination form.

You must hold a senior leadership position at the nonprofit you are applying to represent — preferably an Executive Director position or equivalent — and be committed to implementing effective performance measurement and management.

You should have at least one year of experience in your current role at the nonprofit.

The nonprofit should be located in the Greater New York area, with a budget of at least $500,000 (preferably over $1 million) and a minimum of several full-time employees, and have been fully operational with full-time staff for at least one year.
