Research shows that people start self-censoring when they place themselves in some kind of professional pecking order. Networking events can create this order and make conversation feel forced and even limited.
That's not what we're about. Let's take a break from making connections and spend some time cultivating relationships!
The New York Chapters of Young Nonprofit Professionals Network (YNPN-NYC) and Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy (EPIP-NY) invite you to just be peoples for a night.
How to play Peoples is Peoples
1. We cannot talk about our profession or professional experience.
2. We may not trade business cards.
3. We may reveal our professional identity, if we wish, at the end of the night.
4. Attendees will be connected in an email following the event.
Free for YNPN and EPIP members using promotional code. $5 for non-members. You'll make that back with buy-one-get-one-half-off drink specials! Not a member yet? Click here for membership info.
We'll be there with bells on our heads and drinks in our hands.
