Joining the Board in July 2017, Carlos supported YNPN-NYC programming, events and activities before being elected to serve as Board Co-Chair for the organization. Outside of YNPN, Carlos is a Facilitator for South Bronx Rising Together: a collective impact initiative to improve education, workforce and economic outcomes for children and families in the South Bronx. In the past he has served as a consultant/facilitator and worked for various organizations including The Center for Human Development and Family Services, Humanities Action Lab: States of Incarceration and NYC Parks GreenThumb. His experience in issue areas include education, mental health, foster care, incarceration, Latinx community, and LGBTQ rights.
He holds a Masters of Science in Nonprofit Management with a focus on Organizational Change from The New School.
