Support and Community in These Times

Dear YNPN-NYC Family,

As you are aware, New York City has rapidly mobilized to respond to the growing challenges presented by COVID-19 impacting our members, communities, organizations, and institutions. These challenges we are facing can cause significant disruption, anxiety, and stress.  We recognize that and as a Board will offer a collection of community resources that are free and have been vetted by us. The YNPN-NYC team will continue to support you in these difficult times while moving forward with our mission of developing the social leaders of tomorrow by creating connections, enhancing skills, and inspiring achievement. To adapt to these challenges, we will be transitioning all professional development opportunities and networking events from in-person to digital formats indefinitely.

YNPN-NYC will continue to monitor and adjust our plans and engagement with you - communicating them as they arise - knowing that the situation may change on a daily and sometimes hourly basis. We will do so taking into account guidance from New York City, New York State, and Federal officials.

What that means for our network and you:

  1. YNPN-NYC will modify existing events to virtual formats and continue to work to create professional development opportunities via webinars and other digital formats. Collaborating with partners to host and conduct these digital opportunities.

  2. We will be hosting a lunchtime webinar that will address COVID-19 and ways you/your organization can maintain work-life balance working remotely (event details coming soon).

  3. We will keep our network updated on the COVID-19 response in NYC providing relevant resources and tools for you and your organizations.

  4. We recognize that there is a lot of information surrounding COVID-19 and our goal is to not add more information and emails to our in-box but to also offer free resources to further your career development and ways to help ease your stress.

Below you will find various resources you will find useful in supporting your response to COVID-19. Note that the situation is changing rapidly, and guidance is frequently updated. Any resources shared usually include dates in which the document was last updated. When in doubt, visit the New York City & State links below to review the most recent updates and guidance.
